Heber Valley Railroad This tourist railroad was once part of the Rio Grande Western Railroad. In the late 19th centrury, a branch line followed the Provo Canyon up to Heber City to serve the growing population in the area. The line was abandoned in 1967 when highway traffic became more popular. In 1970, local business leaders revived the line and today it is Utah's only live steam railroad.
